1. Go to your call of duty2 main folder, normally C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2
2. Then into the pb folder
3. Find the file called pbns_c.dat
4. Open with notepad and delete contents and save
5. Make file read only
6. Enjoy normal pings

FIX FOR PUNKBUSTER LAG

For all those who are having problem with punkbuster giving them high pings, please do the following
1. Go to your call of duty2 main folder, normally C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2
2. Then into the pb folder
3. Find the file called pbns_c.dat
4. Open with notepad and delete contents and save
5. Make file read only
6. Enjoy normal pings

Hi Sk!ppy,
I think somthing went wrong while you were following the guide, Sometimes when you save a file in notepad it tryes to add txt to the end of the file name ie pbns_c.dat.txt, can you check this please, might have to enable view common file types extensions in windows to see the whole name.

Also double-check you made the file read-only, else PB will just write to the file again

All sorted now reinstalled PB and did it again as Miller post said to
+ a swift kick to the tower its now running perfect
