not the czech mate sorry but you are looking at a final that will consist of a few teams possible imo

Brazil
France
Germany
Argentina
England (you may think cause im from uk is why there but there is no question talent wise we have one of best teams in the world)

there are a few others that stand an out side chance but id put money on there will be 2 of them teams in final

i think its technicaly also not possible for czechia to meet brazil in the finals... if brazil ends first in their group and czech rep. second in theirs, the meet in the 1/8 finals

i think missing roony is bad for england ofcourse peter crouch is good to but he's no roony
france i don't think so... to much old players, i even doubted brazil after yesterday. ronaldo was so lazy.

i still think we could have an east european surpise....
footy is footy

Final will be between Brazil and some team that gets lucky to be in the other half and doesn't have to meet Brazil along the way :P

Although Brazil hasn't really impressed me yesterday, I think they will get their act together. Will probably find the Czechs a difficult opponent, but any team going through the first round will be tough.

England might make it to 1/8 finals and that be it. Sorry to say, but they just are not good enough. And to be real honest, I hope Rooney doesn't play a second. Or when he does, some referee will finally put that kid right and give him a red card for being the idiotic moron that he is (Yea, I don't like him )

I think that Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Czech, Netherlands have the best cards to make it to the final four, with Italy, France, Switzerland, Portugal, England, Ukraine also making a good chance to get past the round of 16.

And I also tip Australia as an outsider. Yea, laugh at me, but everyone was laughing too at anyone saying South Korea would make it past the group stage in 2002!

And on a side-note, the African teams are getting stronger every year, so either this tournament we will see one of those countries in the quarter finals or it will be in 2010. I also predict a African finalist before 2018. They have got the skill and talent, they just don't have enough discipline yet. Ghana for example could've thrashed Italy, but they just didn't have the discipline to stay focused till their offense was finished, as they were punching a lot of holes in the Italian defense but just missed that little bit of discipline to finish it off. Shame though, would've loved to see Ghana win, but then again I hate Italy, so I'd cheer for any team playing them :P

everyones intitled to there opinion but dutcheh you will eat them words if roony comes into form and the likes of the defence and midfield in the england squad i consider you a fool for thinking there not good enough to reach final gerad lampard beckham are 3 of the best in the world not known how joe cole is playing, and i could keep going with top names but i dont need to
(before i hear the scottish side of maz's opinion on paper the facts are there and if they can put it to practise they have a shot)

and as for your comment on france joris about players being old look at brazil half there team is in there 30's lol
france are a class act and i wouldnt count them out for anything

Germany well how can u go against the home country doing well they will be giving it 500% for that reason alone

Netherlands to be honest i dont think they will carry through they will do the same as they do every time fall at knock outs they have the class just not the luck

Argentina well i dont think theres an arguement there they are good and will be there in late stages

But after all we say we all know the world cup is about up sets so who knows

No doubt England are good enough but I can't see it to be honest. Not as long as the nob head swede is in charge. You never know though, who
would have predicted Greece wining the Euros.

Anyway I'm loving the world cup, drinking beers every night
watching the footie...Fantastic!!!. Much better than 2002, couldn't
really get into the spirt of things with the early morning kick offs.

Not much watching that dull and slow sporty (not a footy fan), but i have telly open right next to pooter, so i kind of wathing it now and then.
What really pisses me off is the dull gaming style of the european teams, dont know if that can be even called footy :P
I like African teams, they really have sommit cool in their gaming style and seems that they not taking games too seriously, in few yrs they gonna be unbeatable :D

aslong as ronaldo keeps playing like he does i dont see brazil win this cup  robinho was alot better.
i hope australia gets to the second round!

if our team doesn't get to the finals, maybe one of the dutch coaches will stunt!

so im also in favour of australia, trinidad, and s. korea

I loved it to be honest. Football can be so boring sometimes.

Can't see Portugal making it the final, even if they make
it past England, which I have long predicted btw. they have
too many players walking a tight rope.

What is there to say?
I'm not gonna be pathetic and try to blame it on the referee that we've lost, as in my opinion he is not to blame.
We played crap, we let Portugal outsmart us, we lost, as simple as that

Goooooooooooooooooooooo England, may ya thrash Portugal and injure Figo for life while you're at it :D

Well... What a shocker

Who would've thought France could beat Brazil?
I know Brazil hasn't shown it's best of fooball this tournament, but France was merely a shadow of the '98 Champion.
So there goes my predicted Germany-Brazil final, not that I could still win work's prediction table though...

Shame for England, had hoped they'd beat Portugal and avange us (and unfortunately Figo left the pitch without a lifetime injury :(). Watched most of the match, but haven't seen the penatly shoot-out as dinner was ready, but I suppose it's better I haven't seen it.

Think France will knock off Portugal, although I'm not sure of anything now.
Also think that Germany v Italy will be an interesting game to see.

Supposedly some (or one) German player(s) were signalling the Argentines to be quiet in a provocational way when they had just scored the 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out. Then when Argentina missed the following penalty, something must've snapped inside their heads (they don't have much of a brain, so can't really think... let alone have some sense) and they started storming some Germans. In the process one Argentinan literally kicked down a German player who was running towards his cheering teammates. The referee saw this and then gave a red card. I suppose, and hope, that the offending player will find himself banned for 3-5 matches.
