MW2 trying to change some stuff..?!?

Well if no dedicated support then this will flop. Cant tell for sure if this is true or not, or even how multiplayer will work. Will it be like xbox live where you have to give more money to play on line or will the game servers be more like p2p, 1 person hosts the game and others connect to the host to play.

If this is true then i fear fun will die as this IMHO was the last chance to save fun and get new members in. ATM Jcket is the only one using the server, i cant remember that last time i played on the fun servers with 3 funners at the same time.

Operation Flashpoint does not use a dedi server,but instead uses a p2p method and reading the above post it looks like other software companys are following suit.


Guess we will have to wait and see if it is true or not

here is some more, apparently there will not be dedicated servers for MW2 what will change and affect PC gaming community imo not in a good way,

so what it means no mods (pro mod, extreme mod), no weapon limitation (grenade launcher....), i could go on & on but im just to lazy tbh, there are loads of comments on that link so check it out.

bottom line is i think i WONT be buying it if stay like this

Well it may not stay that way, Operation flashpoint ATM does not use dedicated servers but plans are to introduce it via a patch shortly and if that is the case i can see IW doing the same. This however will not help fun much unless the patch comes out very quickly.

Its all to do with bloody money ,no longer are games made by gamers but by ppl who can see a quick buck .cod games were one of those few who stuck with it and it paid off until now and u could see the rot happening with world at war.
i just hate steam and its a/c system so may hold back on this purchase.

Well until dedi servers are supported I won't buy MW2, and that's it. Less money in their pockets will change their minds about modifications.

yep Sam i wanted to write the same but like i said im to lazy.....

to draw the line of this weekend I found out that my speedlink medusa headset is broken beyond repair (bloody cheap plastic), my fan on gfx card stopped working (first & last time i bought asus gfx), apparently that happens alot on 4870 asus series & on top of things this morning i received a phone call from the police that one of my vending machines has been broken into & lost 2 hours of sunday morning driving to the place & back.

Well hopefully ill be back on tuesday with new fan & will see if im going to buy new headset (looking g35 from logitech & Razer baracuda ones), needles to say his month i got car insurance coming.....
